More about Jane

Jane worked for eleven years as an accountant before changing careers to pursue her passion for painting. She began painting as a muralist working on both commercial and residential projects. In 2010 she began her study of art history and painting with Master artist, Lap Ngo, from the prestigious French art school, Ecole Nationale Supieure des Beaux - Arts de Paris. She studied and painted under his guidance both in the south of France and north Texas for five years. During this time, she learned the classical art of painting using both oil and egg tempera and a critical component of all art, preparation of both canvas and boards. She uses Belgian linen and gesso prepared with natural ingredients imported from France for most of her paintings. Having the proper structure gives her paintings added richness, beauty and longevity. She chooses the technique and materials for each painting based on the subject matter, to illuminate the unique beauty in every painting.

Jane works out of her studios in Dallas, Texas and Naples, Florida. Her paintings are in private collections both in the USA and in Europe. Her artwork can be seen at Emillions Art located at 837 5th Avenue South in Historic Downtown Naples.

Aromatic, is part of the Flora collection and is a beautiful example of combining classic technique with modern style. It is 36”x48” painted with oil on Belgian linen using a classic Flemish technique. This painting has a fresh and modern look because of the large scale and cropping of the single flower. The painting was inspired by the beautiful and fragrant flowers growing in the gardens along Gulf Shore Blvd in Naples Florida.
